One more story, one more particular client, an institution that can boast of being a pioneer of cooperativism, a deeply rooted tradition in the region. Caja Popular Agustín de Iturbide, with a member-oriented approach and a vision of institutional transparency, made the decision to expand its value offer to a new destination, Autlán de la Grana, a city of colonial tradition. The challenges? an old house with historical value, limited land for the ambition of the project, narrow and busy streets and an environment surrounded by centuries-old adobe – a type of mudbrick used in construction – houses.
The closeness with the directors was fundamental to achieve the syncretism of their social vocation with a forceful architectural program, where we redefined the way of living the space to return the protagonism to the partner.
Thus, from conception, we moved on to the construction of a massive building in a contained space, in which the tension of emptiness is broken with forms that materialize from the ethereal to the corporeal, where we can travel from the handmade to the technological in a subtle transition.
