With the commission of a project that would endow the space with a certain traditional regional character, we drew inspiration from concepts inherent to characteristic spaces of traditional Jalisco haciendas such as, entrance halls, the patios, corridors, the farmyards, that also includes its materiality, scale, density and layout, where the penumbra, the handcrafted object and other printed values are present.
We empathized with the owners in many forms, besides their taste and aesthetic requirements also with their customs and the way they wanted to coexist. Therefore, we privileged the social space, by motivating moments of convergence between the family members, directly or indirectly, regardless of whether they were doing different activities: One may be making snacks while watching a movie, your daughter just two steps away to go out and play in the backyard, In the same way, you might be able to host your friends at an intimate barbecue without disrupting family privacy, to achieve this, we link public spaces and gradually permeate into the private sphere.
